I knew to ALVARO ( band owner) so many years ago and recently I knew that he have a thrash metal band. He plays the guitar in the band but also he's the editor in chieff
of RESURGIR zine and extremely lover of POWER/THRASH and NWOBHM until bones. Inclusively, the zine is strongly dedicated to these styles. For this reason I wasn't surprised when the first notes appearing in the speakers of my CD player when I put in, And I knew that his creativity would be prefect to the band proposal. TRUENO METALICO is a basic Thrash/Power metal shakes, where the good guitar parts & solo's are giving a great technic to compositions of his tracks. I liked the proposal but I felt that they still haven't clear where the music goes and where
they want to go. The music are flowing netween sound agressive or melodic. then powerful too!!!it could be by the fact ALVARO has spent many time listening only these tendencies and be fan of HERMETICA, KREATOR that I Think are the influences that they have and are so deeply that it be difficult to turn it. the CD-r contains 7 tracks and have adding a KREATOR cover 'BETRAYER', but also I can note that from the power metal their principal influence is RUNNING WILD. Anyway, I dislike with the sound mixing but everybody knows that in South american is a quite difficult to find a good engineer sound and good recording sound too!!! The promo is leaving a good taste in the mouth...good work...........................................6.7/10
BEYOND DEATH: 'MARCHANDO AL INFIERNO'-TAPE 2008-6 TRACKS-BOLIVIA:
At the latest issue We had did a review about their first tape of this important DEATH/DOOM metal band from STA-CRUZ/BOLIVIA. in these chance we said good things about of their debut but 'MARCHANDO AL INFIERNO' is by far one of teh best tapes that BOLIVIA has produced until now, and for this, it is one of the best band from BOLIVIA NOWADAYS. Leaving a side their doom influences, the band plays more brutal and deathlier than before, the heavy parts are less than huis previous work. Now, the music is only DEATH metal, the guitar riffing is better played in comparison to the previous tape. the rhythms are darker and faster, very good mixing between guitars & growl vocals that death metal music needs. the demo tape includes 1 track in english and ACCEPT cover track that is made in a good perfromance....good work...6.7/10
MORTUARIO: 'AGRESION BESTIAL'-TAPE 2008-BOLIVIA-6 TRACKS
Well I'll be back to speak about my last trip again. I must to start saying that I hit my head in this travel when I heard this excellent old school thrash metal band from BOLIVIA. Everybody knows that BRAZIL is a place that have a greates quality and tons of bands of this style and maybe by the nearly to this country that MORTUARIO have teaching ver well the way of play thrash metal music, but taking distance and having some recording errors and quality of equipment, I think that they 're near to get sounds like VIOLATOR, BLASTHRASH & BYWAR. the riffs are crushing and faster, very intense from the beginning to the end. the drummer work is another high point, the guy is very faster and precise, he is really good.they're showing that have a high technic level and haven't to envy anything to everyone. the lyrical parts are usually, topics like violence, alcohol, luxury, mostly of typical of these bands. the musical influences are: VIOLATOR, OLD DESTRUCTION and something of SACRED REICH. a good work of those BOLIVIAN brothers that have the same idea than others true headbangers it is join in work to make it more bigger and grew up each day more and more........................................................................7.5/10
TENEBRIFER 'THROUGH THE GATES OF ARARUS'-TAPE 2008-4 TRACKS-BRAZIL:
FUCK!!! Is the only one word that deserves this fucking work!!! TENEBRIFER is a good old school black metal band hailing from BRAZIL. I knew that everybody would say , this band haven't technic, their sound is awful and dirty, raw, and blablabla... what fuck!!! If you're a fan of the sound of these bands like NUCTEMERON, BESTIAL WAR, INFANTRICIDE, INVOKER. If you have the chance to listening surely you'll get it. I must to say that the band has got this old sound without a purpose and it was got thanks to his led of technich. I borned at 80's years and I have costume to hear bands like that and I love'em. principally when they have a dirty and filth sound, I think that is the perfect shown of as must to sound an underground band. The present demo comes with 4 tracks of the most purest bestial and absolute worship to the raw sound of the true black/death metal amde in SOUTHAMERICAN. it haven't cool atmospheres, arrangtments, no sweety melodies, no fucking keyboards, there's goes directly. Tittles such as FUNERAL MARCH, THE BLACK CHURCH OF SATAN IS MY HOME, is the most clear shown of how must be sounding a raw black/death metal band that musically are includings guttural vocals but at time is harsch, of mid tempo but at time is faster. Whatever, if you're looking for the true 80's BRAZILIAN sound that is for you!!! get it now!!!....................................................8/10
