AMAZARAK: 'ASCENSAO DO ANTICRISTO'-CD 2009-BRA-9 TRACKS:
I took contact with this band In my first trip through to Brazilian lands. There i knew to CAVALO BATHARY (VOCALIST AND FRONTMAN of this band) and these times he had left to MAUSOLEUM band and I was nervous for which would be the way of their new band called AMAZARAK,But when I received their Cd-r demo I stayed quite because I liked so much and only I wanted for their first output to eating so quickly as I could!!!. well, my first listen through this masterpiece was all I wanted it to be a debut album and the while that I was awaiting for it,I got rewarding. Musically it's some of the most crazy Black/thrash metal never created at this side of the world. how we can define the whole album by the way is very solid , more focused into the vein of MOTORHEAD, MAUSOLEUM earlier BULLDOZER and VENOM and If you needs more comments and influences also I can mentioned such as: RATTUS, TERVET KAADET , RAW POWER and COLERA E ATAQUE EPILEPTICO (hehehe)....is not melodic music morewell the tracks sounds very raw and ultra faster...meanwhile, AMAZARAK do posses a brutal vocalist with an amazaing stronger voice and excellent musicians in compositions and arrangenments, and I wish to say thanks SATAN by this wonderful band...it just a great album and has all heavyness, speed, aggressivity and everything that all headbangers needs are here....awesome band, awesome album, awesome singer..and everything this band does right, they do it well......get it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!8.8/10





BLASFEMADOR: 'ATAQUE DO METAL MANIACO'-CD-R 2009-4 TRACKS-BRAZIL:
The thrash metal in BRAZIL never died..is alive and more stronger than ever..And here is the best shown of that... I'm really happy when i heard that they still keeping the old flame alive in the true Brazilian thrash metal essence without mixing, on their roots, sung in portuguese As I did before bands like ANTHARES and it just it goes in the same way.. But do not believe that is only a carbon copy...Also they have adding some fresh touches that reminds me to COMANDO NUCLEAR. the music is very simple I prefer named as THRASH/PUNK or CROSSOVER, where the simplicity of draws and complexity in rhythms were leaving a side to follows with the unvirtuosism of the hardcore punk of these bands like ANTI CIMEX, COLERA, etc... This band was created by the true worshipers of the original thrash metal, which was born of the perfect union between heavy metal and punk... BLASFEMADOR is another Brazilian band which we must keeping to check it to them on the way!!! good work..6.8/10...............................................................................

LABORE LUNAE: ‘DEVANEIOS’-CD-R 2010-BRAZIL-3 TRACKS:
FUCKKKKKKK!!! Is the single word to describe to this excellent band…To whose that is eating this magazine and reading it for several years knew so perfectly my eternal devotion and love by the BRAZILIAN metal…because I think that is the best of world, so well here is the proof of that… I’m not laying the band is great!!!!!! Specially, because they’re playing DOOM metal as nobody does it…. I think that this metal style has down fall so much by the continuous apparition of depressive and avant-garde bands that it leave to be real doom metal.. The band proposal is influenced by the first works of PARADISE LOST, ANATHEMA and specially by GUEHENON to be more comparative with South American bands… the band is very doomy/heaviness and at time is adding death metal riffs also. Nowadays in the Doom style I found it as the only one band and best of this side of the world…when I listening SOMBRIA track I enjoyed so much….but is better than you’re listening this work into the myspace or buying it… Musically the developed in guitar riffing and composition is clean and the concept is great… to me is a great discover of this band that is hidden to the mainly of bangers……………………………………………..great CD demo………………………………………………………………………………………………….....................................7.8/10

OCEAN OF ZERO: ‘THE WAKE’-TAPE 2010-AUSTRALIAN-3 TRACKS:
From these times when SLAUGHTER LORD ruled and CORPSE MOLESTATION was born that I’m not into the AUSSIE scene and no one band has surprised me but now I’m very glad to know that they’re strike back again with new good bands of different tendencies but in this case I must to talk about a new band called OCEAN OF ZERO…they’re playing a satanic Death metal very into the NUNSLAUGHTER vein even MORBID ANGEL in the mid tempo, with strongly work in the guitar solo’s that reminds me to the old TREY AZAGTOTH…not even for the evilness is more well by the build of the compositions, in the form that it is include the guitar solo’s… the music is only depravity death metal in the most pure essence , its very influenced by the old 80’s glories such as INCUBUS, MORBID ANGEL and I above mentioned NUNSLAUGHTER…they ‘re adding some own touches like spoken parts very used in the AUSSIE bands, but the music is going to a journey into the past where the true death metal ruled…is a good work that all death metallers are strongly urged to get it!!!!.................................................................................................................................7.8/10

LEVOTH: 'MAIN DEATH'-5 TRACKS-CD-R 2010-PERU
If you haven't already know , this band is a new brand act of AREQUIPA-PERU.And musically goes as many bands of this beautiful place to the technical death metal to thrash. Obviously, the band present us aas newest a great virtuosity on choirds as well on the rhythm changes develop including a beautiful passages with excellent guitar solo's. it seems like if the band weren't a new band but the good accomplishment of the musicians it looks and sounds like a proffessional band. I think that exist many bands in arequipa with extreme care with their job and are complete proffessional sounding, the bands there are entirely dedicated to the job.
Well, Musically the band is very complex in riffs and have a mid tempo in general, at times a bit so faster but all in perfect communion with the rhythm tunes. they may not sounding very original in their death metal but it present us a good work in conception. the music goes from DARK TRANQUILITY to MEGADETH riffs TO DEATH TO THRASH adding some guttural vocals, it giving us a band with a great potential. the production have a lucky art cover with proffessional Cd-r printed, including 4 tracks+ WITHOUT JUDGEMENT (DEATH COVER) as bonus. To be a debut is enough i enjoyed it. Oh, this band is manage by ANUBIS BLOOD our MAGAZINE designer too!!!.....7.5/10

AGOURO: 'OPUS APOCALYPTIC'-CD-R 2009-BRAZIL-3 TRACKS
FUCKKK!!! When VENOM'S gave me this release I supposed that I'd be in front to another usual Black metal band and I hadn't any expectative over them but when I listened their first notes I proved my wrong. AGOURO is an excellent Black metal with a harder work besides in compositions but this cause I think that it does so different to other bands, not only in develop of the structures, more well in compositions in general, not sounding monotonous between one to others. the music goes of Black melodies to dark passages, very coldest, more in the deep vein of old BURZUM/GRAVELAND but is not only raw, is more elaborated, very interesting but it doesn't want to say that the band is melodic, more well is non melodic, also not amospheres has been included or interludes, is simply, direct, faster and freshness with ancient elements with good elements well executed. Perhaps I've giving more good comments about this work but every word that I said is true, they're going to the top soon!!! the art graphic of this CD-r is done with extremely care, it looks like a tomb, And probably to someone's is only another piece of shit but the music there is the priority and is fucking great!!! I forget it, the band is recording their first full legnht now!! stay alert to get it!!!............................8/10

From Sao paulo-BRAZIL comes this act, very focused in the actual Death meatl sound. when I speak about actual Death metal sound everybody's must to know that HATE ETERNAL, NILE & KRISIUN have created this sound and Yezz!!! HATEFUL CARNAGE is following their steps. this Cd-r promo contains 5 tracks of purest, intense and unholy metal and if the bands above mentioned are familiar for you, so you know what I want to say. this is an interesting Death metal so fast as heavyness and rough, with cuts well executed, where the rhythm changes are made with great level and perfectly embrancing, very well executed and arranged. I think still in Death metal exist a bit of originality and truly here we are finding that a fresh beats but with 90's introspective. I'll be awainting for a full lenght to know what more they can offer Us. Well If I have to choose any track as the best, I'd say all of them. The cd-r can be eating to the start to end!!!.....................................7.3/10

TRUENO METALICO 'TIEMPOS DE DOLOR'-CD-R 2008-7 TRACKS-BOLIVIA
I knew to ALVARO ( band owner) so many years ago and recently I knew that he have a thrash metal band. He plays the guitar in the band but also he's the editor in chieff
of RESURGIR zine and extremely lover of POWER/THRASH and NWOBHM until bones. Inclusively, the zine is strongly dedicated to these styles. For this reason I wasn't surprised when the first notes appearing in the speakers of my CD player when I put in, And I knew that his creativity would be prefect to the band proposal. TRUENO METALICO is a basic Thrash/Power metal shakes, where the good guitar parts & solo's are giving a great technic to compositions of his tracks. I liked the proposal but I felt that they still haven't clear where the music goes and where
they want to go. The music are flowing netween sound agressive or melodic. then powerful too!!!it could be by the fact ALVARO has spent many time listening only these tendencies and be fan of HERMETICA, KREATOR that I Think are the influences that they have and are so deeply that it be difficult to turn it. the CD-r contains 7 tracks and have adding a KREATOR cover 'BETRAYER', but also I can note that from the power metal their principal influence is RUNNING WILD. Anyway, I dislike with the sound mixing but everybody knows that in South american is a quite difficult to find a good engineer sound and good recording sound too!!! The promo is leaving a good taste in the mouth...good work...........................................6.7/10





BEYOND DEATH: 'MARCHANDO AL INFIERNO'-TAPE 2008-6 TRACKS-BOLIVIA:
At the latest issue We had did a review about their first tape of this important DEATH/DOOM metal band from STA-CRUZ/BOLIVIA. in these chance we said good things about of their debut but 'MARCHANDO AL INFIERNO' is by far one of teh best tapes that BOLIVIA has produced until now, and for this, it is one of the best band from BOLIVIA NOWADAYS. Leaving a side their doom influences, the band plays more brutal and deathlier than before, the heavy parts are less than huis previous work. Now, the music is only DEATH metal, the guitar riffing is better played in comparison to the previous tape. the rhythms are darker and faster, very good mixing between guitars & growl vocals that death metal music needs. the demo tape includes 1 track in english and ACCEPT cover track that is made in a good perfromance....good work...6.7/10





MORTUARIO: 'AGRESION BESTIAL'-TAPE 2008-BOLIVIA-6 TRACKS
Well I'll be back to speak about my last trip again. I must to start saying that I hit my head in this travel when I heard this excellent old school thrash metal band from BOLIVIA. Everybody knows that BRAZIL is a place that have a greates quality and tons of bands of this style and maybe by the nearly to this country that MORTUARIO have teaching ver well the way of play thrash metal music, but taking distance and having some recording errors and quality of equipment, I think that they 're near to get sounds like VIOLATOR, BLASTHRASH & BYWAR. the riffs are crushing and faster, very intense from the beginning to the end. the drummer work is another high point, the guy is very faster and precise, he is really good.they're showing that have a high technic level and haven't to envy anything to everyone. the lyrical parts are usually, topics like violence, alcohol, luxury, mostly of typical of these bands. the musical influences are: VIOLATOR, OLD DESTRUCTION and something of SACRED REICH. a good work of those BOLIVIAN brothers that have the same idea than others true headbangers it is join in work to make it more bigger and grew up each day more and more........................................................................7.5/10





TENEBRIFER 'THROUGH THE GATES OF ARARUS'-TAPE 2008-4 TRACKS-BRAZIL:
FUCK!!! Is the only one word that deserves this fucking work!!! TENEBRIFER is a good old school black metal band hailing from BRAZIL. I knew that everybody would say , this band haven't technic, their sound is awful and dirty, raw, and blablabla... what fuck!!! If you're a fan of the sound of these bands like NUCTEMERON, BESTIAL WAR, INFANTRICIDE, INVOKER. If you have the chance to listening surely you'll get it. I must to say that the band has got this old sound without a purpose and it was got thanks to his led of technich. I borned at 80's years and I have costume to hear bands like that and I love'em. principally when they have a dirty and filth sound, I think that is the perfect shown of as must to sound an underground band. The present demo comes with 4 tracks of the most purest bestial and absolute worship to the raw sound of the true black/death metal amde in SOUTHAMERICAN. it haven't cool atmospheres, arrangtments, no sweety melodies, no fucking keyboards, there's goes directly. Tittles such as FUNERAL MARCH, THE BLACK CHURCH OF SATAN IS MY HOME, is the most clear shown of how must be sounding a raw black/death metal band that musically are includings guttural vocals but at time is harsch, of mid tempo but at time is faster. Whatever, if you're looking for the true 80's BRAZILIAN sound that is for you!!! get it now!!!....................................................8/10

SEXUAL MANIAC: 'ALTAR OF PERVERSION'-TAPE 2009-BOLIVIA:

Sounding at times , like any of the classic GERMAN 80's Thrash bands that everybody like,SEXUAL MANIAC keep it that sound alive in their blood and in each track of this release, very straight in all lines with thrashing & crushing tunes approach to works of PROTECTOR, MINOTAUR even mostly of SODOM. The band is maintaining the cool riffs that works like that must be having, cool songs, god drumming and vocals are harsh and singing up, absolutely in the SODOM way. I think that nowadays this style could be named as RETRO THRASH but who care's, when the music is extremely good. Take note of them and his tape, I'm sure that it is far from cloning, If you're think that is a merely carbon copy of above mentioned bands. Hosnetly, there's not a things very original about this work but is done with absolute respect, If you're a headthrasher that likes GERMAN METAL you need this.....good work..............6.7/10

HELL RAIDER: 'PROMO CD 2009'- CHILE- 2 TRACKS:
The present review has been done thanks to DISASTER band members that gift me this promo CD when we shared some beers in their first apparence in LIMA Thrash show at the beginning of 2010 year. this band comes from CHILE and it have DISASTER members in their line-up and as can not be to other way, they're playing THRASH METAL too, plus at the same vein than others powerful bands did it before such as: SADISM, TOTTENKORPS and eventually as the mainly of thrash bands nowadays is influenced directly of 80's BAY AREA thrash. the art cover and music is based on gore stuff with an art cover so scary as DAWN OF DEAD can be it. Then, the tracks are following the same due thematic with tracks tittles as : ZOMBIE SLAUGHTER & SUICIDAL SOLUTION both tracks are showing a product that keeps a straight thrashing away, all the time. the guitar riffing is crushing but still prefer a better recording to extend more in the comments. the vocals parts that they do only are based on SADISM 'FROM THE PREPETUAL DARK' times in combination just a bit with new MELIPILLA acts as DISASTER. If you've never heard it to them I think that is good chance to write to them and can get this product or others, who know?. because the CHILEAN sound is always sinonimous of high quality and the sound is guaranteed, and more if they're having these inspirations above mentioned. this promo CD is not great but also not bad but is enough................6.8/10

STILLNESS BLADE:’THE FIRST DARK CHAPTER MISANTHROPIC ELEVATION’-CD-2009-ITALY-10 TRACKS+2 PLUS VIDEOS:
The ITALIAN metal scene always have costumes to gave Us a great Black/Dark metal bands very focused to into the insane black metal but in this chance I present you STILLNESS BLADE a death metal band with a classical and very wasted style but not for less leave to be great, I spoke of DEATH metal made by bands like MALEVOLENT CREATION and DYING FETUS… their music have contains a speed melodies but not morbid, it s more well only speed very influenced by the USA Death metal and even more by MALEVOLENT CREATION.. to be honest I think that is the ITALIAN response to these bands… the CD have as bonus 2 videos and to say true you’ll never got regret of the musical quality of these musicians… The music is not complete enjoyed it but the style I saw as cliché and I haven’t listened many rhythms changes but I know that everyone that like bands like MALEVOLENT AND DYING FETUS to be appreciate it to them… The Cd is a work of the first quality…………………………………………………………………………7.8/10
